Hi, I’m Jessie Kopmeyer, LMSW

Therapist | Perinatal + Identity Work | Collaborative and Centered

If you're feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start, we can figure it out together

About Jessie

I believe that everyone deserves to be mentally well, and that counseling can be a powerful part of that journey. As a West Michigan therapist, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can engage in self-reflection, explore your emotions, and move through life’s challenges with more clarity and confidence.

A core belief in my work is that you are the expert of your own life—even when that doesn’t always feel true. That’s why I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, encouraging you to explore your values, identify your goals, and build on what’s already working for you.

I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, manage stress and anxiety, and reconnect with their own resilience. My hope is that through our work together, you’ll feel more equipped to cope with life’s ups and downs and take meaningful steps toward your version of wellness and joy.

What It's Like to Work With Me

Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and approachable. I aim to create a space where you can show up just as you are—no pressure, no judgment. Our work together is collaborative and flexible, centered on your values, your goals, and your pace.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity, perinatal changes, or something harder to name, I’ll show up with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in your capacity for growth and healing.

  • “Take the risk! Sometimes making the initial call can be the first step in addressing anxiety, advocating for your needs, or moving closer to your life aims. I also would encourage you to keep an open mind about the process and the possibility of change. As Ted Lasso would say, ‘Be curious, not judgmental.’”

  • I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, life transitions, and perinatal mental health challenges. I also support clients working through issues related to self-esteem, body image, and compulsive over-eating. My work is rooted in a strengths-based, collaborative approach that honors each person’s values, goals, and lived experience.
