Hi, I’m Jess Kimmel, MA, LPC

Therapist | Art Therapist | Emotion Translator

Whether you're here to heal, grow, or better understand yourself—therapy can help you move forward with clarity and care.

About Jess

I believe that feeling safe and seen in therapy is foundational. I walk alongside my clients with compassion, curiosity, and respect—whether you're navigating growth, sitting in uncertainty, or just trying to feel more like yourself again.

My work blends traditional talk therapy with creative expression. For some clients, that means making art as part of the therapeutic process—translating emotion into visual form. For others, it’s about building insight and emotional resilience through deep conversation, self-reflection, and connection.

A lot of therapy is about vulnerability. It’s not easy to express what’s true for us—but the more we can safely explore it, the more meaning and change becomes possible.

I’m trained in both Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy, and I’m passionate about creating a space that’s honest, affirming, and deeply human.

What It's Like to Work With Me

People often describe me as grounded, thoughtful, and deeply curious. I work hard to understand each client’s unique story—and to build a sincere, trusting relationship that supports real growth.

Whether we’re exploring identity, recovering from trauma, or navigating mental health symptoms, I aim to meet you with presence, flexibility, and creativity. Some clients choose to include art-making in their therapy, while others stick with talk therapy. It’s all about what feels most supportive to you.

  • “Therapy is your support tool, and it evolves as your needs evolve.
Some folks come in to work through a specific issue. Others stay to maintain the progress they’ve made.
