Hi, I’m Roxanne Kruger, MA, LPC

Therapist | Story Listener| Pattern Breaker

We’re all a mix of old habits and new hopes. Let’s figure out which ones get to stay.

About Roxanne

I believe the struggles we face today are often connected to what we've lived through—our past experiences, family dynamics, and the ways we've learned to cope. These patterns may have helped us survive at one point, but sometimes they no longer reflect who we are or what we need.

In therapy, I offer a space that’s free from shame, judgment, or rejection. It’s a space where we can look at your story with curiosity and care, and start exploring new ways of engaging with yourself and others. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that no longer serve you and begin to shape ones that feel more authentic and supportive.

I value deep listening, honest reflection, and creating a relationship where you feel seen and safe. I have experience working with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself and move toward change that feels meaningful and sustainable.

What It's Like to Work With Me

Working with me is equal parts insight, curiosity, and gentle challenge. I’m not here to fix you—and I definitely don’t have all the answers. But I am really good at helping you ask the right questions.

I’ll notice patterns you might not have seen yet, reflect things back in a way that makes them click, and hold space for the messy parts without flinching. We’ll make room for humor, honesty, and those oddly satisfying “ah-ha” moments that come when things finally start to make sense.

Therapy with me isn’t performative. It’s real, thoughtful, and grounded in respect—for where you’ve been, and where you’re trying to go.

  • “Like any relationship, counseling takes time to build trust. It’s completely okay to try a few sessions with a therapist and decide they’re not the right fit—and to keep looking until you find someone who feels safe.

You don’t have to share everything at once. You’re in control of what you talk about and when. A good therapist will never judge you for what you bring into the room—they’ll meet you with curiosity and care.”

  • I specialize in helping people make sense of the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that were shaped by their past—but may no longer serve them. My work is often centered around:

    • Healing from unresolved trauma

    • Navigating life transitions and identity shifts

    • Managing anxiety and depression

    • Exploring family dynamics and attachment

    • Building emotional insight and self-compassion

    • Strengthening relationships—with others and with yourself

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I work with clients to explore the deeper roots of what they’re experiencing and support them in creating change that feels sustainable and true to who they are.
